2005: #32 – We’ll Meet Again (Mary Higgins Clark)

May 3, 2005January 14, 2021

Book #32 was We’ll Meet Again, by Mary Higgins Clark. I like Mary Higgins Clark stories cuz they’re quick and easy to read. Nothing you have to think about too hard. This one was pretty good — I actually didn’t have it figured out before I was supposed to. Book count: 32/50 — 64% Pages in book: 384 Page count: 10,736/15,000 — 71.57%

2005: #31 – H is for Homicide (Sue Grafton)

April 26, 2005January 14, 2021

Book #31 was H is for Homicide, the 8th book in Sue Grafton’s Kinsey Millhone/Alphabet series. I have to give this one a thumbs up. I think it was actually one of the better books in the series. Really sucked me in towards the end! I like a book that I have a hard time putting down. Book count: 31/50 — 62% Pages in book:

April 25, 2005January 14, 2021

Book #30 was Jackdaws, by Ken Follett. Though I have listened to one of his books on tape, I’ve never actually read Ken Follett before. I’m glad I have a couple more of his books waiting for me on my shelf. This was excellent. I love a good WWII story. And he is really great at developing his characters. I essentially read this in a

2005: #29 – Abandoned Prayers (Gregg Olsen)

April 21, 2005January 14, 2021

Book #29 was Abandoned Prayers: An Incredible True Story of Murder, Obsession, and Amish Secrets by Gregg Olsen. This was a “true crime” novel. Somewhat interesting, definitely sad. Especially since the guy who left such a trail of destruction in his wake is now out of prison. Book count: 29/50 — 58% Pages in book: 399 Page count: 9,603/15,000 — 64.02%

I really liked the heart of this book. I loved April and her unapologetic geekiness, and I liked what Dade has to say about body positivity, and that she wrote a male protagonist that walks the talk. What I wasn’t expecting was just how detailed into the fanfiction subculture this was going to go. It’s one of the few times I’ve started a book and
