2006: #48 – Seduced by Moonlight (Laurell K. Hamilton)

Seduced by Moonlight by Laurel K. Hamilton

Book #48 was Seduced by Moonlight, the 3rd book in Laurell K. Hamilton’s Meredith Gentry series. I was in the library, once more looking for Narcissus in Chains (the catalog says it’s in, where is it?? How can it be missing from both libraries?), and noticed this one on the shelf. Impulse read! This was pretty par for the course for this series. Lots of

2006: #47 – Into Thin Air (Stan Washburn)

Into Thin Air by Stan Washburn

Book #47 was Into Thin Air, by Stan Washburn. This was one of the paperbacks I inherited from my dad, who inherited it from my aunt. I hadn’t read anything by this author before, but I’m always up for new mysteries. It was pretty good. Not so good that I plan to add any of his other books to my already too-long list, but good

2006: #45 – Eveless Eden (Marianne Wiggins)

Eveless Eden by Marianne Wiggins

Book #45 was Eveless Eden, by Marianne Wiggins. I wasn’t sure I was going to like this book. I received it as a gift, and it’s not something I normally would have purchased. However, I ended up enjoying it quite a bit. It had its own distinct writing style, and though the book ends very abruptly, it fits. Book count: 45 Pages in book: 352

Turning Angel by Greg Iles

Book #44 was Turning Angel, by Greg Iles, the second Penn Cage novel. This book is kind of a sequel to The Quiet Game, which I’m not sure I’ve read. If I have, I need to read it again, because I didn’t remember any of it. Anyway, this was great, and it wasn’t necessary to have read the first book to enjoy it. Book count:

I really liked the heart of this book. I loved April and her unapologetic geekiness, and I liked what Dade has to say about body positivity, and that she wrote a male protagonist that walks the talk. What I wasn’t expecting was just how detailed into the fanfiction subculture this was going to go. It’s one of the few times I’ve started a book and
