I thought this was a solid piece of suspense from Karen Rose. It involves some characters from her past books, but it’s not necessary to have read them — you get all the background you need. Honestly, I didn’t finish this book. It rides the line between psychological thriller and ghost story, but even that and the “creepy little kid” trope weren’t enough to keep me going.
